PM Koirala holds meeting with law experts

-2 Feb 2015, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has held consultation with the constitution and law experts regarding the constitution drafting process at his official residence in Baluwatar on Monday.
PM Koirala discussed on the legal and constitutional provisions about the constitution drafting process, said Gopal Krishna Ghimire, chairman at the Democratic
Lawyers' Association.
Participant lawyers and experts said that no one could leave the constituent assembly (CA) as they were elected for drafting the constitution and the recently-formed questionnaire committee was merely the beginning of the process therefore protesting against it was meaningless.
They advised the PM Koirala to take the constitution drafting process ahead as it was approved by two-third majority so the decision would have no effect if any side tried to affect it.
On the occasion, PM Koirala said that he was making maximum efforts to bring the opposition parties to consensus for constitution drafting process expecting not to let them go outside the CA.
Also participating in the meeting were constitutional law experts Dr Bipin Adhikari, Dr Bhimarjun Acharya, Sher Bahadur KC and Ganesh Bhatta, among others. RSS
