“Disputed issues could be settled through a referendum. But, we have to ensure that we get a new constitution on January 22,” Minister Khadka said speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Sunday, November 30, 2014.
“The impasse should not continue and the nation should not plunge into a disaster. Therefore, even by
postponing federalism, we have to promulgate a new constitution. A constitution is always amendable.”
On a different note, Minister Khadka said the responsibility of protecting plants, parks, flowers and the greenery produced by them in Kathmandu valley has been given to Nepal Telecom for the next five years.
“There will be regular monitoring about Green Kathmandu and culprits will be punished.”
