According to Dhungana, the talks were held in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi and the outfit has signed a four-point agreement with the team led by Dhungana.
"As per the agreement, Terai Madhes Tigers will
submit details of arms it possesses to the government by January 4, 2015 and thereby, would join a peace process," Dhungana said on Friday, December 12, 2014.
Likewise, the government has agreed to start the process of releasing leaders and cadres of Terai Madhes Tigers from imprisonment, once the outfit submits a list of its detained leaders and cadres. The government will then further guarantee the security of the released ones.
On behalf of the government, Dhungana led the talks, while on behalf of the outfit, its chieftain Jai Prakash Yadav led the talks.
The CA sub-committee has been holding talks with various armed outfits saying that it would facilitate the constitution making process.
