Nepal in top ten places to visit in 2015- Forbes

30 November 2014, Adelaide- Forbes Life, a supplement of the business magazine Forbes, has named Nepal in its ‘The 10 Coolest Places To Visit In 2015’ list on its website Forbes.com.
The ‘Coolest Places’ list is a guide on destinations to prioritise for 2015 which are ‘right at that sweet spot between sleepy backwater and developed destination’.
“What must we see right now, before it changes forever?” its writer Ann Abel asks. “What’s newly safe or newly uncovered?”

Abel says she compiled the list with advice from Owen Gaddis, a luxury travel manager at travel-planning company Absolute Travel.
Under the heading Nepal, Above and Beyond, the article describes Nepal as a trekking paradise which is ‘slowly emerging as a luxury destination.’
"Absolute [Travel] directs visitors to immerse themselves in Nepal’s astounding beauty and diverse artistic traditions, watch the sun light up the world as it rises over the Himalayas, stroll bucolic mountain valleys, visit ceramic and textile workshops, explore impressive temples and monasteries, and take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Phewa, whose calm waters mirror the snowy peaks that tower above," it says.
Abel also calls on readers to visit Dwarika’s Resort Dhulikhel, which hosted a retreat for South Asian executive head during the recent 18th SAARC Summit, before it is ‘discovered by the crowds’.
Other destinations on the list include Iceland, Morocco, Vietnam, the American Prairie Reserve in Montana in the US, Tasmania, Colombia, Japan, Patagonia in Argentina and Sri Lanka. KATHMANDU, November 29, 2014 (RSS)
