Questionnaire Committee meet delays as Gurung fails to present in meeting

31 Jan 2015, Kathmandu - A meeting of theQuestionnaire Committee scheduled for Saturday has delayed as the eldest member on theCommittee, Kul Bahadur Gurung, failed to make his presence in a meeting venue on time.

As per the provision, the

Committee eldest member shall chair its first meeting. A meeting was called for 13:00 pm.

Gurung, a leader from the Nepali Congress could not be available for a meeting on time as he was on the way to the Capital from Nepalgunj, Committee member Ramesh Lekhak said.

The Committee has been busy in holding informal talks for finding a way for carrying out itsbusiness.

The Committee that was constituted by the CA in between protest of the opposition parties' alliance led by the UCPN (Maoist) is aimed settling the contentious issues of the new constitution.

According to the CA Secretariat, the eldest member on the Committee will chair its first meeting.
