Baidya requests Biplav for self correction

30 Nov 2014, Kathmandu- CPN-Maoist Chairperson Mohan Baidya has urged splinter Netra Bikram Chand "Biplav" to rejoin the party by self-correcting himself.
Addressing a press meet organized by the party to make public the decisions of fifth plenum of central committee at the party's headquarters at Anamnagar in Kathmandu on Saturday, November 29, 2014, Baidya said revolution cannot succeed by working alone.
"I do not have single leadership in party as alleged by Biplav. Our party has a collective leadership. How could an individual who engages in trade-off for getting the top party posts would spearhead revolution?" Baidya quipped.
"I still urge him to realize mistake and come back. We have called a national meeting on December 25, 2014. We can extensively discuss the party's weaknesses and ways of unity in the meeting."

In the plenum meeting held for five days on November 23-28, 2014, CPN-M leaders reached to a conclusion that the untoward activities of Biplav and some others only lead to anarchic individualism, prohibitory dialectical materialism, experimentalism and the rightist opportunism expressed in the guise of communism.
The meeting also demanded annulment of a recent 900 MW Power Development Agreement (PDA) signed with India, saying that it is not in the interest of Nepal.
"The government has facilitated the Indian expansionist influence by signing the agreement," the CPN-M said.
Commenting on Nepal's political situation, CPN-M Chairperson Baidya said an all-party national political assembly has to be set up dissolving the current Constituent Assembly and a national government has to be formed substituting the incumbent government.
CPN-M – a splinter faction of UCPN (Maoist) - boycotted the last CA election held in November 2013 and represents Nepal's ultra left.
