No discussions on quitting CA: Mahato

-4 Feb 2015, Janakpur - Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has said that no proposal has been brought up at the meeting of 30-party alliance regarding quitting the Constituent Assembly (CA). He also said the alliance has not even discussed whether or not to join the CA meeting summoned for Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference organised here in the district on Tuesday, Mahato said, “The front has not yet received any formal proposal on resigning from the CA. A broad discussion
is needed on this matter.”
The national media are against the Madhes and Madhesis, Mahato alleged. He said the media have disseminated false and misleading news about 30-party alliance and its leaders.
Mahato, however, admitted that the leaders of opposition parties have been putting forth differing views.
He reiterated that Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari of Eastern Nepal and Kanchanpur and Kailali of Western region must be incorporated in Madhes province while restructuring the state. He also insisted that 12 VDCs of Chitwan district also must be recognised as Tarai districts.
“Madhes land must be given to Tarai provinces and Hilly areas must be kept in Hilly states. We will not accept otherwise,” he said.
